What?! Is the sky falling down or something?

Really, life isn't that interesting. But who says you can't write about it anyway?

Whoa, whoa

Whoa, whoa I am updating!

1) I have finally done 40 hours at lab and I even took "half" days on Monday and Tuesday. Aka I made it up by spending 13 hours in lab on Wednesday and had the 3 hours in lab on Sunday. Today? Well if I count trying to clean a column and dialyzing my enzyme as part of my work (I went home and ate dinner, yay!, and watched a little TV and went online), today would total a little over 10 hours. Let's say I rather balance this out a bit better next week, but I can't since my sister is coming up. I think I might stick in a 10+hour day sometime Monday-Wednesday since I'm taking a half-day on Thursday and no weekends please! But maybe I won't do 40 hours because I really don't have to...I'm working more weeks than I have to, so I can cut the hours, right? The prof will be pissed that I'm taking most of July 4th week off though. Well, I can use my parents as an excuse, right?

2) Wimbledon is here!  I'm still sad that Mario pulled out, but Andy Murray is back so it won't be as boring, hopefully.  I don't think I'll be watching as much of this tourney though, since I have lots of work to do and my sister to entertain, but I will try.  Matches are shorter, right?  And I never feel guilty about skipping coverage of Andy Roddick if he isn't playing against someone I care about (or if the matchup isn't interesting).  My girls are all on the same side, though, except for newly adopted Jelena.  I want Amelie to do well in this tourney since she has had a subpar year so far...thankfully she is far away from Lucie Safarova, the girl who has beaten Amelie in the last 2 slams.  Tatiana Golovin is back on the women's side, but I won't probably pay that much attention to her.  I have Ana and Sveta to root for!  Sveta changed her hair again...she is just so awesome, being able to do all of that confidently.  If you don't know by now, you do not have to be hot to be loved by me.

3) Copa America roster is out (soccer, ignore if you don't care)!  I'm happier about this roster than the Gold Cup one just because it has more of my guys on it.  Woot for Sacha and Benny and Brad and Jonathan and the hell, Eddie Gaven?  I don't think he's stood out in any way, but I do want him to do well sometime soon.  I remember seeing him play in the All-Star game like 4-5 years ago...before I got into obsessive sports-watching and I remember "stalking" him...so it's like a first crush hahahahaha...

4) I saw the girl (who I might have a crush on but probably don't) today for the first time in a while.  Even if I don't have the crush, seeing her made me smile.  I mean, I don't think of her as much as I think of this one guy in my lab, who I think about killing (or at least smacking) multiple times a day.  He just pisses me off...

5) I think I am a Canada-phile.  Sadness, I know.  But I have started rooting for Toronto FC (MLS team), CBC is going to cover most of the U-20 World Cup (yayayayness), they have Adam Wong (gymnast) and his awesome eyebrow, and they have the awesome commercial where the two soccer players are...ok nobody cares, I'll just have to laugh it the commercial every time I see it.

6) I walk by Palmer Fields all the time and every time I walk by the tennis courts I wish I could magically change into tennis gear and start playing right then.  I'm always so sad, watching people play tennis.  SOMEONE PLAY TENNIS WITH ME!  I'm a bit sick of the backboard game, but at least I get some of my itch out.
